The Singapore Chinese Culture Centre (SCCC) will be hosting its first-ever TGIF Music Station (Buskers Edition) on October 18th, 8pm at SCCC Concourse, Level 1. This event will showcase the talents of local street performers. Performers include, Jeff Ng, WHYLUCAS, Phyllzx, Arya  Yunata, Asher Mendelsohn, Tan Yong Qing, Michelle Chua, Lyla Ng, Silver Hype, as well as, Cloud & Party.

TGIF Music Station is a monthly event, featuring both established and emerging local musicians in the Mandopop scene. SCCC aims to promote local talent, enliven the Central Business District, and foster pride in Singaporean arts and culture.  Since its launch in 2018, TGIF Music Station has featured a total of 496 local artists and attracted over 53,000 participants and 6 millions online view during livestreams on SCCC's social media platforms on Facebook and Tik Toks. 

The October 2024 edition will feature 10 buskers, ranging from young talents like 11-year-old Lyla Ng to senior groups like Silver Hype, comprising Davidson Teo (age 65) and Gillian Goh (age 69). Popular buskers who have released singles and EPs, such as WHYLUCAS and Jeff Ng, will also perform. Apart from English and Manda Pops, audience can also look forward to original music by some of the performers.

Gillian Goh from Silver Hype expressed gratitude for the opportunity and hoped to inspire more people to pursue their dreams, regardless of their age. Lyla Ng shared her excitement about performing at SCCC and highlighted the positive impact of learning and performing Mandarin songs.

Alvin Tan, Chief Executive Officer of SCCC, emphasized the event's goal of supporting the busking community and providing them with a platform to showcase their talents and reach out to a wider audience. SCCC plans to organize a buskers edition every October and feature at least one busker for every upcoming TGIF Music Station event.

《周5音乐站》街头艺人版

 新加坡华族文化中心广场

新加坡华族文化中心将在10月18日（星期五）,首次呈献专属本地街头艺人的《周5音乐站》（街头艺人版）演出，让10位本地华语流行乐坛新秀老手施展歌艺。

街头艺人表演阵容包括： 黄长俊 (Jeff Ng)、黄宏溢 (WHYLUCAS）、芷馨 (Phyllzx）、阿雅 (Arya Yunata）、郭文耀 (Asher Mendelsohn)、陈勇庆 (Tan Yong Qing)、蔡淑萍 (Michelle Chua)、黄姿宁 (Lyla Ng)、银色组合 (Silver Hype) 和云海派对 (Cloud & Party) 。他们将为公众带来多首英语和华语的流行歌曲，以及一些他们的原创音乐。

自2018年以来，华族文化中心已举办152场《周5音乐站》音乐会，邀请496名本地艺人登台表演。截至今年8月，现场累计观众人数超过5万人，脸书和TikTok的线上直播观众则超过600万。 

接下来每个月的《周5音乐站》 ，将至少推介一名街头艺人。华族文化中心总裁陈子宇希望通过这场活动，为本地华语歌手提供一个施展才艺、提高曝光率的平台，让公众认识这些本土的歌手，也带动市中心商业区，增添文化艺术气息。
