Yu Shirota to headline Kyodo Tokyo’s "TOKYO - The City of Music and Love" in Esplanade Singapore

Calling all Singapore fans of J-Pop Songs and musical! Don't miss the dazzling TOKYO〜the city of music and love〜 for one night only on June 22nd at the Esplanade Theatre. Fresh off its successful Tokyo run with rave reviews, this show is a must-see!

The brainchild, Yu Shirota, well known for his leading roles as Kagurazaka Makoto in Japanese action drama Hana-Kimi, and as Tuxedo Mask in the Sailor Moon Musicals, produced, co-directed and starring in this show.  This musical variety extravaganza features an all-star cast. Shirota co-directs alongside Kahori Kanaya, with music direction by R&B singer SWEEP. Look forward to special guest appearances by J-Pop icon miwa and Singapore's own Nathan Hartono. Joining them are J-Pop stars RIOSKE, yuzu, and Rainy, plus a team of incredible dancers including Kaoru Harada, Shunsuke Omura, Nao Usui, BOXER, and Tuki Takamura.

Prepare to be blown away by a fusion of musical styles – J-Pop, Disney classics, and even Broadway hits! The show seamlessly blends contemporary, street, and jazz dance with rap, beatboxing, and more to capture the vibrant energy of Tokyo, a city that embraces cultures from all over the world. Expect stunning Japanese set design, dazzling choreography, and extravagant costumes to complete the mesmerizing experience.
