[Food Review] Citrus By the Pool at Woodlands Swimming Complex

Halal-certified 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐬 𝐁𝐲 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐨𝐥, is a café at Woodlands Swimming Complex, now serving authentic Thai dishes beside their western and asian cuisine.  It is a great venue for chilling out after your workout!  Not only that, the café opens till 5am daily, so you can drop by with your friends for some late night gatherings as well!

 

We have tried the following:

 

𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐩𝐲 𝐅𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐢 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢 𝐒𝐚𝐮𝐜𝐞 

Deep-fried to perfection, the seabass drizzled with Thai chilli sauce, is simply succulent!  Love that the fish is very fresh and tender, with a crispy outer, I believe some chilli padi is added to the Thai Chilli Sauce for some extra kicks.

𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐲 & 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐧

The deep-fried boneless chicken chunks coated with honey garlic sauce, is crunchy yet retains its moist and remain juicy.  This is well loved by all, however, I would personally prefer less honey so that it has a more savoury taste with a hint of sweetness.

𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐧 𝐏𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐢

Stir-fried rice noodles with prawns, eggs, bean sprout, tau kua and onions, served with chilli flakes and roasted crushed peanuts. Love the the texture of the Phad Thai is stirred fried to the right texture, so chewy and bouncy.

⁣𝐏𝐚𝐝 𝐊𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐰 𝐆𝐚𝐢 (Thai Basil Chicken with Rice)

Stir-fried chicken with Thai basil and chilli, topped with sunny side egg, served with jasmine rice. Enjoyed the aromatic Thai Basil Chicken.

𝐓𝐨𝐦 𝐘𝐮𝐦 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐍𝐚𝐦 𝐒𝐚𝐢 (Clear Tom Yum Soup with Rice)

The clear Tom Yum soup with seafood, is pretty spicy but yet shiok with the prefer level of sourness.  Simply appetizing!

A MUST try for chocolate lovers! Love the rich decadent chocolate taste, with the perfect moisture level.

Royal Chocolate Truffle Cake and Ondeh Ondeh Cake

𝐎𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐡 𝐎𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐡 𝐂𝐚𝐤𝐞

A nice rendition of local popular kueh with coconut flakes and gula melaka.  Texture of the cake is slightly dry though, but understand, this is one of miss cases and not the way it should be...

Other than the mural wall on the outside of the restaurant, they now also have a floral fixture wall inside the restaurant, which is great for the gram.
