We Only Have What We Give

This is an initiative that started with fellow bloggers - Isabella, Shub, Irene, Alicia and Renuka.  Instead of just spreading the "Stay Home" message like most influencers did, we hope to help spread love & kindness during this COVID-19 pandemic period...

We have not thought much when we worked on this little campaign of our own, having read about news on many people having their livelihood affected because of the circuit breaker, we thought it will be nice if we can do our part to extend some helping hand within our means. Thus, we decided to do our part to help those in need via Giving.sg and hoping to raise some awareness for more to jump on the bandwagon! Aside from monetary donations, one can also offer help in other ways, such as volunteering.

We have not discussed about what amount to be donated individually as we felt that there is no need to cause peer pressure and we just donate individually to the preferred organization.  We just hope to put our words into action and bring across to everyone to stay united, that we will be able to overcome #Covid19 together.

For me, I've donated to the following organizations after reading through their mission, target audience to help and how they utilize the donations.
**Tzu Chi is one organization that I somewhat familiar as one of my friend has been a long time volunteer with them and have done many charitable works within Singapore and overseas.  I also used to support by purchasing the annual charity event tickets or make donations at times.

Coincidentally after taking the individual video and having Isabelle editing the video, the posting date was just 1 day before the solidarity payment.  A young teen, Kate chanced upon our postings and also inspired to reach out to get people to #Donatethe600

Another friend, coincidentally also by the name of Kate, whom I got to know through Instagram, also shared that she is much inspired by us.
A little help can mean so much, glad that we managed to inspire others in one way or another, promoting more act of kindness...
