Get a taste of Bangkok's Chatuchak in The Grandstand, Singapore

With COVID-19, many of us have been putting off travelling plans, including travelling to Singaporeans' favourite City - Bangkok.  Fret not that you are unable to travel to Bangkok now as the famous Chatuchak Night Market from Bangkok has come to you. It will be held over three months till 3 May at The Grandstand in Bukit Timah.

The Chatuchak Singapore Night Market will be expecting about 1,000 vendors over the span of three months, with some vendors rotation.  Weekly,  30 to 50 Thai vendors will be on rotation - with many directly flown in from the markets in Bangkok. There will also be Singaporean vendors among the Thai vendors

Here’s a peek of some of the vendors you may expect:

 F79 Phad Thai Vanna
The Phad Thai is chewier and much sweeter than what we usually have in Singapore.




F83 Roti and Thai Milk Tea Booth
Go early if you want to avoid the long queue that never end even till 9pm+.  The Thai Milk Tea vendor prepare his Thai Milk Tea like our Singapore Teh Terik Style which attracts many eyeballs...




F84 Roast Pork 
The roast pork is very much different from what we usually have in Singapore.  It is not the usual crispy type and tasted much sweet with savoury taste.




F88 Thammaros Bee Farm
The Thammaros Bee Farm offers a range of drinks at average price of $3 with their own honey. This passion fruit drink actually taste savory sweet.  There is no sugar added, the sweetness comes from the honey and the savory taste is due to the pinch of salt added.


F100 King Octopus 
The King Octopus is one of the popular streetfood in Chatauchak Market which you get to have a taste of the spicy baby octopus.



F101 KaraKara
The Fried Chicken Cutlet is quite big and thick slice, juicy and well marinated.  It still stay crispy even when left cold and still taste good.



F154-F155 Crying Tiger Grill
Apart from the Grill Chicken wings, they also offer grilled premium beef which is a popular choice among the patrons.


F122 Crispy Pancake
The Pancakes are crispy and available in both savoury and sweet flavours which is of an interesting mix



R1-R2 Mesook Farm
The Mesook Farm offer a range of products made of natural ingredients grown in their own farm, including, medicated oil, deodorant, natural hair dye and foot cream, etc. 

  
R3 Bowtix Pet Collar
They offer a range of Pet Collars that are real kawaii and sweet for your lovely pet dogs and pet cats.


R15 Greenday
The Greenday offers a range of healthy vegetable and fruit snacks.  Most range are with natural sweetness with no added sugar, except strawberry with minimal sugar added. The Greenday is now branching into Singapore, do keep a look out on upcoming promotions.



F94 Sackitem
Sackitem is a popular Thai brand that offer upcycled products, including haversack, pouches, keychains, duffle bag, etc.  It has expanded into various countries like Korea, Japan, France, Switzerland, Costa Rica, etc  They are currently exploring to sell in  Singapore.  If you are keen in selling their products, feel free to get in touch with them.




F13 World Love Bag By Ashi
The stall offers free customisation with name painting on their bags.



F14 Akemprovisart Hand Painted Craft Store
The Akemprovisart offers a range of hand painted items, including paintings, t-shirts, postcards and badges, etc



R41 Fashion Stall
This no brand fashion stalls offers jewellery accessories apart from the ladies apparels which is very much Japanese / Korean style.



Claw Machines
Apart from food & beverages, apparel, fashion, crafts stalls, there is a wide range of claw machines for the claw machine fans!


Disaclaimer: The above stall information is accurate as of my visit on7/Feb/2020, but as mentioned, the Thai vendors are rotated weekly, so stalls may have been changed.
