One minute secret film, FOREVER trauma for the victim

There’s no way to erase memory, neither is there any medication to cure Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) at the point of any traumatic incident.

Recently, I've came across a numbers of perverting cases in which victims are suffering from PTSD.

If you have any loved ones going through this displeasing experience:
- DO NOT Pressure them into talking or ask questions that will not help the situation.
- DO NOT Change your attitude / behavior towards them, making them feel that they are sick.
- DO Treat them normally, the way you do every time.
- DO Educate yourself and learn more about what PTSD is.
- DO Provide Social support & be patient with them for this period of time.
- DO Be a Good Listener
- DO Minimize Stress and Calm them.

At the same time, keeping yourself from the perverts is just as important as any daily precautions. In this world, the primary matter of being safe is having some basic knowledge of self protection. Using the pepper spray in the criminal eyes is one best way to counter the perverts. However, in Singapore, pepper spray is illegal, thus, a personal safety alarm keychain would probably be the next best thing to have.

You’d think that commuting in these days would be safe, given how well connected we are in technology, but you couldn’t be more wrong. Perverts are everywhere, be it on public transport, private changing rooms, public toilet & etc. There are many unknown molesting, secret filming, under skirt filming cases & etc that were not reported on the news. Some who have went to police station to report had never gotten any justice done, due to a lack of evidence, leaving them devastated and quiet.

Some insensitive people would tell the victims that, “It's only being seen naked by one guy for a few minutes or seconds... not a big deal”. But what they are unaware of, in today's world, such photos and recorded videos can be easily duplicated infinitely and pass on for decades.

One minute secret film, FOREVER trauma for the victim.

I’m sharing on behalf of a friend who recently had a bad experience over this, which took her months to recover from it, and still trying to get out of the trauma.

If you’re not aware there are many people doing secret filming, partly the punishment for this crime isn't hefty enough. So girls, you gotta be careful!

Just FYI, not commonly known, but there are many upskirts and secretly filmed home / hotel / public toilets footages being shared across the public / private group chat platforms.

There are more than one chat group doing this exchange, and there are other platforms doing such exchange too. The best (WORST) of all, these are generally FREE. There are some people who sell it as a collection bundle or earn through selling subscription package where one pay to get monthly feed of such footages and content.

I believe this keeps these perverts really rich as there will always be demand, but how about the victims whose nude shots / videos are being seen, shared, and they get nothing except violation? NO, monetary is not what the victims are pursuing, all they asked for, is not being filmed. Nothing else!

In this particular chat group, it's not just sharing of footages / photographs of the victims, but also their social media accounts names & links, which is of nuisance to the victims.

It's already very traumatic for the victims to know their modesty violated, where their "naked body" may have been screened by tons of perverts. To make it worse, these perverts disrupt their personal life by disturbing them through their social media accounts.

There are some people who are totally unaware that they are secretly filmed where footages are posted to the group chats.

Sharing the traumatic experience of a friend who encounter a pervert and got filmed secretly. All she could do was to report to the police, but not much can be done by the police or the law due to insufficient evidence. So, it is important for us to be vigilant and take precaution against against people around us, no matter how seemingly trust-worthy they are.

Some Preventive Measures:

1) Always stay alert and keep a lookout of your surrounding before you strip, be it when changing clothes or showering.

2) Always ready to gather any evidence available, because the law may not necessary help if there is insufficient evidence to prove. Reading such law before hand is good.

3) Do not keep posting Pretty / Sexy selfies of yourself where stalkers get to understand you in and out, from your personal life to your body.

4) Do be more vigilant and guard against random photographers who approach you out of nowhere. There are cases where photographers deliberately asked for sexy poses and intentionally capture those exposed shots and share with others as well.

P/s: Beware of this Photographer in Singapore, initial J. He was caught red-handed with hidden camera but was let loose with insufficient evidence against his pervert action. He has had several Facebook accounts with different names.
