New Addition to Eat at Seven, Suntec City - 鼎鮮 Ding Xian Hot Pot

鼎鮮 Ding Xian Hot Pot is a new addition to Eat at Seven enclave in Suntec City.  It is the first ever Hot Pot restaurant that offers Blazing Magma Soup (Japanese spicy white miso soup) and Spicy Mala Soup under one roof!

The 40-seater restaurant offers a wide selection of ingredients, with 5 soup bases to choose from: Blazing Magma, Clear Soup, Herbal Bak Kut Teh Soup, Si Chuan SPicy Mala Soup and Tom Yam Soup. Ingredients are priced from $2 onwards, includes A4 Australia corn-fed Wagyu, snow crab legs ($17.80), handmade meatballs ($14.80), and even collagen balls ($2) that come in normal and spicy options!

For the soup base, we have selected the Blazing Magma and Herbal Bak Kut Teh Soup.
The spiciness of the Blazing Magma only kicks in after later and is rather spicy for those who have low tolerance for spicy food.  However, as we cooked on, the soup has absorb the sweetness of the ingredients and added with some sweetness.  On the other hand, the Herbal Bak Kut Teh is rather sweet, which makes one wonder if MSG is added, in fact, the sweetness comes from the sugar cane that is used to cook the broth.

Apart from Hot Pot ingredients, cooked food as side dishes are also available, such as, Seasonal Mala Grilled Fish ($10.80), Drunken Chicken ($6.80).  Japanese Yuzu Sake and Sapporo beer are also available on the menu!

In celebration of its opening, Ding Xian Hot Pot is offering a 1-for-1 weekday lunch promotion at $12.90++  from 8 - 11 May, which now has been extended to 14 - 18 May, 11.30am to 2.30pm.
