Influential Brands - 2017 CEO Asia Conference & Top Brands Awards


The CEO Asia Conference, jointly presented by Influential Brands, Deloitte Singapore, SIM, and Rolls-Royce Motor Cars by is back for its fifth edition.  The Conference has attracted 300 prominent Asian C-suite executives from over 100 leading companies across regions like Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and China.  The half-day event, themed "Business Transformation and Innovation", will be held on Tuesday, 7 November at the Capitol Theatre.  It will allow these C-suite executives to draw valuable insights from leading future-oriented thought leaders.

Panellists taking part in the discussion on this year’s theme:

  • Ms Rosaline Chow Koo, Founder & CEO of CXA, the first private insurance and workplace wellness exchange in Asia.
  • Mr Sanjay Gujral, Regional Managing Director, L Catterton Asia, the world’s leading consumer investor.
  • Ms Mandy Lamb, Group Country Manager, Regional Southeast Asia & Senior Vice President, Global Client Management for Visa Inc.
  • Mr Oliver Tan, CEO & Co-Founder of ViSenze, an artificial intelligence company.
  • Mr Alistair Taylor, President, Central Food Retail Company, Thailand.

The Conference will culminate in the presentation of Asia’s most-coveted “Top CEO”, “Top Brands” and “Outstanding Brands” Awards, as well as two new awards, namely, “Influential Artist of the Year 2017” and “Influential Woman of the Year 2017”.

The nominees for the Top CEO of the Year are:

  • Mr Seah Kian Peng, CEO of NTUC Fairprice (Singapore)
  • Mr Wong Kent, Managing Director of Chow Tai Fook (Hong Kong)
  • Mr Thapana Sirivadhanavhakdi, CEO of Thai Beverage (Thailand)
  • Dato’ Colin Tan, Executive Chairman & Managing Director of Hatten Land Limited (Malaysia)

The Outstanding Brands 2017 Awards, created to identify, feature and celebrate brands that have shown resilience and growth in changing times. A brand must not only be noteworthy in its own category, industry or domain but also show significant growth in revenue year-on- year for at least the past 2 years. They must not be in receivership and have a clear business expansion plan.

For the inaugural Influential Woman of the Year Award, only one short-listed woman will be recognised for her exemplary achievements in 3 areas - influence, business leadership and personal branding. The inaugural Influential Artist of the Year Award is a very special award where only one shortlisted artist will be recognised for his/her exemplary achievements in 3 areas – influence, contribution to the promotion of art and culture, and also personal integrity.

Lastly, over 30 Brands, which are enjoyed and loved by consumers in Asia, will be awarded the Top Brands 2017. The awardees are selected based on more than 5 years of consumer insights and survey covering 5 countries with more than 5,000 participants.
