This installment in the blockbuster franchise, UNDERWORLD: BLOOD WARS follows Vampire death dealer, Selene (Kate Beckinsale) as she fends off brutal attacks from both the Lycan clan and the Vampire faction that betrayed her. With her only allies, David (Theo James) and his father Thomas (Charles Dance), she must put a stop to the eternal war between Lycans and Vampires, even if it means having to make the ultimate sacrifice.
Movie Review
I have not watched the earlier installments of the movie so I cannot compare it against the earlier installments of the blockbuster movie. Glad that I'm still able to catch the flow of the movie and have an idea what happened earlier via the multiple flashbacks. The movie title seems appropriate as there is much bloodshed through out the movie; and with some intimate scenes, this explains why the movie is rated M18 only. Kate Beckinsale looks damn hot in her black catsuit. Generally, the movie is not only action-filled with the wars between the Lycans and Vampires, it also covers on love, hate, kinship and betrayal, and with some twists in the movie, I will rate it a 3/5. Psst... there will be a 6th installment and I definitely hope it will fare even better than this. Remember to stay till the end of the movie!
