Scooptacular Night at Ben & Jerry's 313 Somerset Flagship Scoop Shop
7 April 2015, Singapore -- Ben and Jerry's first Flagship Scoop Shop in Southeast Asia has come in town in Singapore at 313 Somerset Discovery Walk!
On this opening day, the first 1,000 moo-niacs get to walk away with a limited edition Ben & Jerry's Singapore mug. Fans are also treated with free scoops of ice-cream from 2pm-8pm, of which exclusive opening days flavours like Turtle Cheesecake and Coconut Seven Layer Bar were served. Fret not, should you missed the free scoop today as there is still Free Cone Day on coming next week.
What to expect in Ben & Jerry's Flagship Scoop Shop? 18 chunky, swirly and euphoric ice cream flavours, shakes, sundaes, ice cream cakes and wider range of merchandise!
As a company which strongly believes in Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR), Ben & Jerry's get their supplies of bakery items like brownie and cookies and herbs like mint, from
1) SCORE Bakery, which works to rehabilitate inmates through skills training, and
2) Social enterprise Edible Garden City which comprises of a group of farmers, championing the Grow Your Own Food movement in Singapore
A Benefit Tuesday Night programme is also being launched, exclusively in the flagship scoop store. It will run on a Tuesday every month, allowing various local welfare organisations to engage the public on their causes. 20% of Ben & Jerry's sales during the 7pm-9pm event will also be donated to the featured mission partners.
And this is not all! On this opening night, the international renowned food artist, Samantha Lee from Malaysia, is also here to share her scooptacular Sundae creation.

The Peace, Love, Commoonity Sundae (SGD $17.90) specially designed by Samantha Lee, is available exclusively to the Flagship Scoop Shop until 31 August 2015. All profits go to Ben & Jerry's Benefit Tuesday Night partners, therfore, start scooping and share some love!

We had a chance to create our own versions of Sundae. Through this simple activity, I realised for food art, from conceptualizing to putting the ideas into action, isn't as simple as we thought.
