WD TV Simplifies Personal Content Playback on Any TV
WD unveiled on 28 May, that the new WD TV - Personal Edition, an easy to use Wi-Fi enabled media player that can play any media file stored on on storage drives or on the home network
The WD TV media player's new user interface, supports a wide range of formats including .mkv, .mp4, .avi, and offers social connectivity through apps like YouTube, Hulu Plus, Spotify, Pandora, and Facebook, etc. Files can be easily streamed from any connected USB drive, network storage drives, digital camcorder or cameras, and any networked PC or Mac computer; users can enjoy a wide range of personal media such as photos, video and music on their home entertainment systems. In addition, WD TV also supports Miracast, allowing users to project their Miracast enabled mobile device onto their TV in up to Full HD 1080p.
Users can turn their iOS or Android compatible mobile device into an advanced feature remote control for their media player with the WD TV Remote app. With this app, users can navigate more easily, the wide variety of digital media WD TV users can enjoy on their television.
