Food Review: All Day Weekend Brunch at MEDZS Millenia Walk

Visited MEDZ @ Millenia Walk for the first time, there's outdoor seating for those who prefer an al fresco dining.  The Mediterranean food chain offers up to 100 labels of international & craft beers as well as a great variety of Mediterranean dishes.

MEDZS has recently came up with an All Day Weekend Brunch comprises of  authentic French, Spanish, Moroccan, Italian, Greek and Turkish** cuisines, with premium coffee to complement your brunch.  There are two menus which will alternate on a weekly basis for more variety and greater selection:

Was invited to try out some of the items on the Weekend Brunch Menu.

Stacked Brunch Torte ($14.90)
This is one of my favourite among all the brunch dishes. Sandwiched between the crispy pastry puff, is a potpourri of eggs, ham, spinach, cheese and bell pepper. However, trying to cut the torte can be a messy affair as the flaky puff pastry breaks into smaller pieces easily. Some recommended to eat by layers but I personally feel that you will miss out to taste the rich flavours stacked together. It is also served with a side of sautéed mushrooms and salad.

Toasty Tortilla ($14.90)
Unlike the usual tortilla that is of thin flat bread made from finely ground wheat flour, the Spanish tortilla is actually a thick egg omelette made with potatoes and other ingredients. Spread some Stewed Beans with Chorizo or the Scrambled Eggs on the Brioche Toast for a different taste.  The Scrambled Eggs is made to perfect with a creamy taste and is favourite among all and some can't help wanting a second helping.

Bouncy Benedict ($14.90)
Egg Benedict is all time favourite among most brunch lovers and hardly goes wrong.  The dish comes with home-cured Salmon, Baked Tomato, English Muffin & Salad and Rosti Potato.

Le Jolly Monsieur ($13.90)
A classic French Sandwich of Ham, Cheese and Bechémel Sauce.  It comes with Bacon, Pork Bratwurst and scrambled eggs too.  Definitely a dish for the meat lovers!

Poseidon’s Wrap ($14.90)
A thick burrito of lettuce, tomatoes, prawn, fish, squid, with tzatziki, Greek salad and scrambled eggs.   This dish is great for the health conscious and seafood lovers.

Spicy Chicken Tagine ($13.90)
The Morocco chicken dish stewed with tomatoes, capsicum, and hard boiled eggs in a spicy gravy, come with a sweet note, with the spiciness kicked in much later.  One simply can't help but dip the potato pancake the delicious sauce.

Egg-crowned Shakshouka ($14.90)
Also a Morocco dish, the lamb meatball, though with great chewy texture, tasted too gamey for me.  Dip the garlic toast into the Lamb Kefta, Tomatoes and egg tagine, and you will definitely enjoy the dish more if you are a lamb meat lovers.

A Berry Pancake Gala ($12.90)
The Pancake comes with Fresh Berries, Summer Berries, Topping Cream, with the choice of Maple Syrup, Mango Sauce, Vanilla Sauce, Strawberry Sauce to go with it. Unless you are going for the galore of berries, otherwise, I'll recommend you to keep your stomach for other brunch items that may offer you greater satisfaction.

The brunch items are reasonably priced from S$12.90 to S$14.90, which is pocket-friendly. Now you have a new venue in town where you get to enjoy all day brunch over the weekends and chill out with your pals!
