Love from New Zealand - Sheep Droppings and Kiwi Poo
Sis has just got her boy to help deliver her love from New Zealand...
Lol! Fret not, these are just some Kiwi humour! Actually they are simply some novelty confectionery from Parrs Product Ltd, which makes great gifts ideas as souvenir from New Zealand. The Sheep Droppings is actually chocolate coated peanuts while the Kiwi Poo is actually chocolate coated raisins.
I think this is pretty cool and interesting! Frankly speaking, there aren't much special about these chocolate, except for the packaging. They are just milk chocolate which are are of not too inferior quality.
I googled around and seems like these confectionery are rather popular souvenir, beside the usual lanolin products from New Zealand. I would think the credit should goes to the marketing and packaging design. The names of the various flavours definitely attracts attention, e.g. Cow Poo & Flies (Coconut Rough And Gummy Flies) and such weird and funny names sure draws the younger generation to make the purchase. While nowadays, most of the younger generation will do without souvenirs purchase from their vacation trip, but cute packaging will most likely tempts them to make a purchase or two.
Never under estimate the power of packaging. The food may not taste great, but premium packaging or interesting packaging will definitely draws the crowd and increase the sales. But of course, if the quality is not there, these will not sustain for long. Therefore a certain level of the quality of the product has to be ensured to keep the business going. Kudos to the creative marketing staff out there who crack their brains to think of such interesting marketing concept.
